Dignity, Period.

A period should never keep a girl from school. Help H.E.R provide menstrual products, hygiene essentials and dignity support to girls who need them.

Dignity, Period.

For thousands of South African girls, something as ordinary as menstruation can become a barrier to education.

The Department of Basic Education says menstrual health remains linked to school attendance, dignity and educational participation, particularly where adequate sanitation is unavailable. In 2026 it reported that as many as 4,500 schools lacked basic sanitation facilities.

Government's Sanitary Dignity Programme has already provided free sanitary products to four million learners in disadvantaged, farm and special schools during 2025–2026, demonstrating both the scale of the need and what intervention can achieve. Department of Basic Education

H.E.R wants to complement this work at community level through dignity packs containing menstrual products and essential hygiene items, alongside age-appropriate menstrual health education.

A girl's education should never stop because her period started.

Her body. Her dignity. Her future.
